Work Acquired by Founder of Drawing Award

I learnt last week that John McCrea, private art collector and founder of the Lynn McCrea Memorial Drawing Award Noosa Regional Gallery, acquired my drawing, Mods & Rockers, having viewed it at the exhibition. I am over the moon.

What's more, Mr. McCrea announced at the opening of the award last month that he will eventually be gifting his collection to the the Permanent Collection at Noosa Regional Gallery.

I am honoured - especially because John and Lynn McCrea have crossed my mind several times since the exhibition opening. What a beautiful way to celebrate the memory of your late wife, by founding an annual award centered around something she was so passionate about, a way to further inspire and encourage artists who share in her affinity for drawing. It's such a heartwarming thought. So , a very big thank-you to the McCreas.
